Comparative and transnational perspectives on technologies of fertility preservation and extension

A one day international symposium at De Montfort University titled ‘Comparative and transnational perspectives on technologies of fertility preservation and extension’ will take place at DMU on the 13th June, the day after the BSA Human Reproduction Study Group Annual Conference and is being organised by Kylie Baldwin, Johanna Kostenza and Zeynep Gurtin.

This one day international symposium is funded by the Foundation for the Sociology of Health and Illness, the British Sociological Association and the Centre for Reproduction Research and is bringing together speakers and delegates from around the world to discuss the new and emerging applications of fertility extension and preservation technologies in the management, regulation and experience of human reproduction.

The symposium includes sessions on

*Pathways to egg freezing: international perspectives

*Marketisation of fertility extension, precarity and risk

*Fertility preservation and extension in diverse contexts

Speakers include: Prof Marcia Inhorn, Prof Daphna Birenbaum-Carmeli, Dr Nitzan Rimon-Zarfaty and others.
