Gender and COVID-19: a feminist economic lens

In this inaugural Sylvia Chant lecture, professor Naila Kabeer will use a feminist economic lens to analyse a range of different impacts associated with COVID-19 and to explore the kinds of policies that such a lens would suggest for a more resilient and equitable future.

The Sylvia Chant Lectures is a new annual series hosted by the Department of Geography and Environment and Department of Gender Studies to celebrate the life and work of Professor Sylvia Chant. Sylvia was Professor of Development Geography at LSE and was a specialist in gender and development.

Speaker: Professor Naila Kabeer, Professor of Gender and Development at LSE

Chair: Professor Eric Neumayer, Professor of Environment and Development and LSE’s Pro-Director (PVC) Planning and Resources
