Today’s Islamic Feminisms: National and Transnational Perspectives
An international forum will be oragnized in Fes (Morocco) on the theme « Today’s Islamic Feminisms: National and Transnational Perspectives » on June 7n 8 and 9, 2019.
Idea: Modern Islamic feminisms seek equality in Muslim family laws and revisit the fiqh-based background of these laws from within Islam. National, transnational, individual-based, and network-based, these feminisms are attracting increasing attention among students and acaedmics and carry promise for further reseach. The Forum will reflect on today’s overall status of Islamic feminism and the current conversations in the field.
