Virtual conference: No Means No – Women with disabilities resist violence

This free virtual conference “No Means No – Women with disabilities resist violence” takes place on 3 December, the Day of Persons with Disabilities.
💡 Living at the intersection of sexism and ableism, women with disabilities are more often confronted with violence and discrimination and their access to support and protection is often filled with barriers. Yet despite this, they are not powerless and often successfully resist such violence!
➡️ This conference seeks to set violence against women with disabilities and feminist self-defence on the European agenda, to inform European decision makers about policy gaps and good practices, as well as to provide a space to women with disabilities for self-advocacy.
🧏 Official languages of the conference are English and International Sign Language. The conference will also be translated simultaneously to French and Belgian-French Sign Language (in the afternoon only for the latter).
☝️ To improve accessibility, it will include simultaneous translation into International Sign language, simultaneous transcription, and Easy-to-Read presentations.
