The CALIPER and LeTSGEPs are organizing a final joint conference in the framework of their H2020 projects: Inclusive Research & Innovation Ecosystems: A sustainable way forward for Gender Equality. The conference will take place on 23 November 2023 at ULB in Brussels (ULB Campus du Solbosch – Bâtiment S – Salle Dupréel, Avenue Jeanne 44 – 1050 Bruxelles, Belgique).

The conference aims to understand how Gender Equality Plans (GEPs) and other initiatives for equality, diversity and inclusion can be fostered, supported and sustained and how challenges in this regard can be overcome. Nearing the projects’ completion, CALIPER and LeTSGEPs invite researchers, innovation leaders, decision makers, human resource and gender equality practitioners to learn and share best practices, while reflecting on how to address challenges to achieving long-term, inclusive and sustainable institutional change.

After an introductory session, four panels will focus on key topics (gender equality and structural change; intersectionality; gender budgeting; innovation ecosystems).

Striving for an interpersonal exchange with all the stakeholders that share common values and interests on the implementation of Gender Equality efforts, we plan an extended networking lunch break with a poster exhibition.

The final session will share the two key results of the projects: the CALIPER Charter of Gender+ Inclusive R&I Ecosystems and the LeTSGEPs Handbook Providing Guidelines for the Implementation of GEPs and Gender Budgeting and will look at what comes next.
