“Gender, racialization & embodiment”
In this masterclass, dr. Strings gives input and feedback to the work of PhD-researchers from a variety of disciplinary backgrounds (e.g. sociology, philosophy, anthropology, political science, geography, gender and queer studies). All PhD students who are studying processes of ‘othering’, embodiment and the interconnections between systems of discrimination based on gender, race, class, sexuality, ability are warmly invited to take part.
Participants are expected to read excerpts of dr. String’s work in preparation of the masterclass. They should also prepare a short presentation of their own research and to formulate some questions or points for discussion.
The masterclass is open to PhD researchers of VUB, KU Leuven and Ghent University.
