Revision of the FWO panel structure: seeking “orphan disciplines”
The FWO is currently preparing a revision of its thematic panel structure seeking for “orphans disciplines” – i.e. research disciplines or topics that currently do not have a natural home in the FWO panel structure.
The current structure, which distinguishes between 31 expert panels in five scientific domains, has been in place since 2010. After ten years an update of this structure is suitable. To this end FWO is organizing a large consultation of their stakeholders, who will deliver the necessary input to devise a revised panel structure more in line with the current state of the art and needs of science in Flanders. An important topic in this process is charting their so-called “orphan disciplines” – i.e. research disciplines or topics that currently do not have a natural home in the FWO panel structure.
Sophia warmly invites you to participate in this call in order to add gender, queer and sexuality studies to the orphan disciplines list by filling in the form.
